Our Clack Control Valves are a computer that uses a meter that counts the water usage in gallons and also regenerates off of your water usage. These control valves can save you 22% or more for homes on electric and for homes on gas you can save 26% or more on your power bill. These tech efficient Control Valves are personalized to meet you and/or your family's needs. We set the regeneration to perform at 2AM when you or your family is/are sleep.
When water enters into the tank, the media/resin is what softens the water in a process called Catalytic Ion Exchange, where hard minerals are removed and are captured by the resin beads. The hard minerals, which are Calcium and Magnesium ions are added into the water and are directly proportional to the amount of hardness you have in your water. The Sodium, which is the ion, used to soften your water is different than regular table or ice melting salt. The sodium that replaces hard water minerals in your water is PURE sodium (NA). The chemical which formula for salt is (NaCI) Sodium Chloride which will not work for the ion exchange process. This is why your salt water doesn't taste salty! Also Clack Water Softeners only allow .002 parts per million of (NA) in your household water.
The regeneration process is where your hard minerals are magnetized to the resin beads. The resin then fills up with hard minerals and becomes full. The resin needs to become clean. This is when the system will regenerate and clean the media with out cutting edge technology regeneration cycle. Our regeneration cycle consists of backwash, rapid rinse, then finally a brie draw, then another backwash, then finally a brine fill. During the regen process the calcium and magnesium with sodium ions so you can continue to have soft water non-stop without a single hour of hardness due to our 300 reserve capacity.
